10 Powerful Prayers to Pray Over Your Husband

It is so important that we pray for our husbands and our marriages in the midst of life’s challenges. Wives, the enemy is the same serpent that went after the very first marriage in human history. Instead of listening to the same lies given to Eve, we must fight for our marriage and our husbands with the truth of God’s word. Praising God and praying His will for your husband will be the most rewarding work as his wife. The Lord has already promised blessings, and He wants us to participate in these blessings.

The promises of the Bible are already yours, you just need to ask and receive.
Matthew 7:7-8

I have included prayers for your husband in every aspect of life- career, temptation, faith, leadership, and more. Feel free to use these prayers as they are or use them as a guide for your own unscripted prayers.

1. Pray for his work.

Lord, I pray that you would bless my husband's work. That he would be prosperous and full of wisdom as he works each day. God, I pray you give him strength and courage to work long days. Thank you for providing this job for him.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the works of our hands for us- yes establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:17

2. Pray against temptation.

God, I pray that you will help my husband stand strong against temptation. Help him to set his mind on what is good, true, noble, right, admirable and pure. Put a guard on his heart and help him to remember you are with him and will give him strength to resist any temptation that comes his way.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Colossians 3:2

3. Pray for his mind and his fears.

Lord, I pray you guide my husband's mind and heart. When fears consume his thoughts, I pray you remind him he can be strong and courageous through you. Help his mind be at rest and focus on your words as his fears and racing thoughts are calmed.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

4. Pray for his priorities.

God, I pray for my husband's priorities. I pray that he prioritize you first, and secondly his family, above all others. Help his priorities align with your word and help him grow towards you.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33

5. Pray for his leadership.

God, thank You for this man you have set in my life to lead me and our family. I trust you to help my husband become the godly father and husband you have called him to be. I pray he opens his heart for you to lead him in the right paths. Teach him that true leadership is pure and kind. I pray he feels confidence and courage and that he will seek you first in all things, so he can lead us in the way that is good and right for each member of our family.
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds, tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 11:18-19

6. Pray for his fatherhood.

Lord, I pray for my husband's fatherhood. I pray he will lovingly raise and teach our children. I pray you will teach him, guide him, and direct his paths to train them in the way they should go with grace and patience. May they always know their father loves them and does all he does for their good.
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6

7. Pray for his friendships.

Father, I pray my husband finds friends who are wise and kind. Friends who sharpen him and encourage him in his faith. I pray you would remove any ungodly friends and give my husband the wisdom to see who is building up his character. Help him be a man who attracts godly friends who will provide encouragement and support.
As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17

8. Pray for his Faith and spiritual walk.

Father, I pray for my husband's spiritual walk with you. I pray he has the faith to seek you first and always, and to stand firm in your promises. Help him to be able to reflect on what you have already done, not forgetting the faithfulness you have already shown to him. Help him to find joy, hope, and encouragement through his faith. I pray his faith grows as he grows closer to you through your word and through prayer.
"And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith."
Matthew 21:22

9. Pray for unity in your marriage with him.

Lord, I pray for unity in our marriage. Help me to honor and respect my husband, and help him to love me as Christ loves the church. Help us to have healthy communication and to speak kindly instead of tearing one another down. Thank you for this marriage and this unity and help us to be a testimony of your love for us. Join our hearts together, so we may be one as you intended us to be. Teach us to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave" us. (Ephesians 4:32)
Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
Colossians 3:18

10. Pray for his future.

Lord, I pray you give my husband a clear vision of what Your plan is for him. Stay at his right hand so he will not be shaken. I pray he will be a man who seeks to do good so he may inherit eternal life. In the midst of difficult days, help him remember that you are there for him and not against him. Help him to feel encouraged to know you have promised him a bright and hopeful future.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

Satan desires to destroy your husband and your marriage. Your prayers are the greatest weapon against him. I pray that you find these prayers and scriptures helpful and you see God move in your husband’s heart and provide him with encouragement, hope, and faith.

Vida Salt Room

Want to take a relaxing break from your regularly stressful life and help your body and mind at the same time? Vida Salt Room has recently opened in Tyler, Texas! Vida Salt Room is Tyler’s first holistic, natural therapy Himalayan Salt Cave that promotes better breathing, healthier skin, improved physical fitness, endurance, and overall health. Ground yourself and disconnect from the outside world the moment you walk into the salt room.

Here they offer Halotherapy, a dry salt therapy in which pure sodium chloride is placed in a Halogenerator, which then crushes and grinds the salt into micro-sized particles and disperses the salt aerosol into the air. Vida’s salt comes from Pakistan salt mines, is 100% natural, and contains 84 minerals that your body needs to thrive. The salt room is even safe, and beneficial, for children. The owners at Vida really care about making a difference in the lives of others and creating a community and a family feel. It isn’t just a business to them, but a way of life. While going to a salt room helps with your overall health, there are so many benefits.

Benefits of Salt Therapy:

  1. Respiratory Care

Salt is a natural mineral that creates a barrier known to fight infections and illnesses, dissolve mucus, and eliminate foreign allergens. It is super absorbent and acts like a toothbrush that cleans through the respiratory system removing the buildup of foreign elements that cause various respiratory issues. Using Halotherapy in your wellness routine may help you find relief from a variety of respiratory conditions such as: Asthma, allergies, common cold, bronchitis, COPD, smoker’s cough, and ear infections. Many people have started using Halotherapy to help with long-term affects of having Covid. Salt therapy can also strengthen your immune system.

2. Skin and anti-aging

Salt therapy has been proven to be extremely beneficial for your skin. It can improve your skin’s hydration, roughness, and redness as well as help those suffering from eczema, rosacea, dermatitis, and more. The natural anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties found in salt particles are the secret ingredients providing a cleansing effect and are ideal for treating skin diseases without the use of harmful chemicals on your skin. Salt therapy is also great for anti-aging of the skin, as it stimulates the skin’s micro circulation and balances out the skin’s pH levels.

3. Mindfulness/ relaxation

With the world busier and people more stressed out than ever, Vida Salt Room provides a great space for relaxation, meditation, and increases psycho-emotional well-being. We move at such a quick pace each day, the environment in the salt room provides a calm unlike what we encounter in our busy lives. Deeply inhaling and exhaling in a salt room helps your body release negative ions, which is said to reduce fatigue and tension. Breathing salt helps heal your body and calm your mind. It helps to open your lungs and allow more oxygen to move through your body. Recharge, breathe, and reduce stress naturally with salt therapy.

Children are welcome at Vida Salt Room! (age 3 months and up) They can play in the salt while getting all the benefits mentioned above. Children react even faster than adults typically, as their lungs are filled with less toxins. Children are currently free with an adult.

Made in His image

I have always been a very insecure person. As a child, a teenager, a young adult, and now as a mom.
Whether it be feeling insecure as a person, feeling inadequate as a mom, or feeling bothersome as a friend, I struggle. Hard.

I struggle in feeling judged by others, for parenting choices, how I look, how I am portrayed, even if that may not be the case and has not even crossed their mind.

I struggle in not feeling good enough. This dates back to my childhood, but I am definitely one of the moms that envy others. I envy their perfect Pinterest crafts and meals, their perfect marriages, their perfect relationships with their kids, and their confidence.

I struggle in feeling bothersome to others. This is probably my biggest insecurity. I fear I am “too much”. Too loud, too obnoxious, too weird, too imperfect. But, I know this is just the devil trying to bring me down and make me feel worthless, when the Lord shows me that I am of more value than many sparrows. (Luke: 12:7) If God remembers the sparrows, He will not forget me! Jesus assured every believer that their life was precious and remembered before God.

I’m sure many of us have struggled with insecurity. It can cripple us- in our Faith, friendships, our work, and our marriages. What insecurity comes down to is this: you’re either choosing to believe what is true, or you’re choosing to believe what is false. What is true comes from God, and what is not comes from the enemy.

If you struggle with insecurity as well, I encourage you to take these verses, pray, write, and meditate them. Put them in your heart for when you are weak and need to be lifted up.

2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through him who strengthens me. (ESV)

Psalm 139:14
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 122:7
Peace be within your walls and security within your towers!

1 John 3:1
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.

Genesis 1:27
So God created mankind in his own image,  in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.

Friends, when you’re feeling insecure, insignificant, or not good enough- lean into God and His truth and know that He has made you in His image! Take comfort in your Faith and know that God truly loves you. He has made you to be the Mom, Wife, Friend, and Child of God that you are!

All Bodies are Good Bodies

When we say “all bodies are good bodies” we have to include our own.

This has never rang more true in my entire life! I’ve struggled with body image for so long, and having babies did not help the situation. But I have to remember, my body is AMAZING. My body held, protected, and birthed 3 babies!

And now, it has gone through a gallbladder surgery and still is taking care of me. It’s truly amazing how strong my body is and I’m so proud of all it’s been through!

The stretch marks, cellulite, stretched skin, “chub”, and now gallbladder scars just show how powerful I am and how much I’ve concurred. They don’t make me who I am. Although my body looks totally different than it was many years ago, life has changed and so has my body. That’s something I’m slowly becoming okay with. 🌻

These are the Best Days

My shirt reads: “These are the best days”. Challenging, hard, and unbelievable — these words make more sense when I think of our current situation now. Everything about life is messy, and feels unknown, but it is up to us to decide what to remember and feel after this ends. While right now may seem like the farthest thing from “the best”, I hope we all can look back and think of all the positivity that came from this.

May all the children remember nothing but a time when all the moms and dads were at home and drawing and playing board games. May we remember watching our littles learn and thrive. May we remember getting creative and having fun. May we remember this as the time we all got to stop and be present.

Then, when this is over, may we never take for granted a hug from a friend, a trip to the store, conversations with neighbors, a school rush in the morning, a roaring stadium, a boring Wednesday, and most importantly: life itself.

A letter to the Stay-at-Home mom

Dear stay-at-home mom,

I see you.

I see you, waking up 5, 6, 10 times with your newborn who has her schedule messed up.

I see you, waking with the sun, with sleepy eyes, as you pour the first of many cups of coffee that will turn cold before you get a moment to drink them.

I see you, mom bun for the 3rd time this week because you haven’t had time to shower.

I see you, as your wild one throws another car at your head.

I see you, wanting to hold your newborn as much as you can because you know babies don’t keep.

I see you, trying your hardest to give all your love and attention to all your kids, while trying to juggle the housework at the same time.

I see you, serving lunch to your family only to sit down to a cold plate for yourself.

I see you, dressing defiant toddlers, wiping hands, faces, and bottoms all day long.

I see you, hiding in the bathroom as your children bang and kick the door because they have to show you something right that second.

I see you, sitting on the kitchen floor teaching your babes all about the world instead of doing the dishes that have continued to pile up.

I see you, cooking dinner while separating fighting children, only to not eat any yourself.

I see you, scared eyes as they jump off the couch for the 5th time today, because they’re being adventurers.

I see you, staring at the massive pile of laundry beckoning to be folded. But you know you won’t get to it for a couple more days.

I see you, stopping in the middle of sweeping to play playdoh because you know one day they won’t ask you to come play with them anymore.

I see you, kissing sleepy heads, tucking them in, reading stories and singing them to sleep.

I see you, getting them another glass of water and finally sinking into bed exhausted after a long day of doing so much, but feeling like you got absolutely nothing accomplished.

I see you, eyes weary, as you sit awake at night to get even 10 minutes to yourself.

I see you, keeping it all together when you feel like you’re falling apart.

I see you, loving this life and all the chaos involved. Never wanting it to change for even a second even though it’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done.

I see you, mama. Because I am you.

Our experience at Little Land

Little Land Play gym is easily one of our favorite indoor play places to take the kids! This Little Land is located in Tyler, Texas but they have many other locations throughout Texas. Both of the kids always play for hours and they even have an area for babies like A!

What is Little Land?

Little Land is an amazing, fun indoor play place that offers a unique experience for kids to not only have a blast, but also develop and grow. Each component of their gym was designed by pediatric development experts! They’re committed to being a place where kids can just be kids while also focusing on fine motor skills, gross motor skills, speech and language, social and sensory development and so much more while offering an unstructured place for family fun.

Our experience:

Every time we go to Little Land, each of the kids find something they love to do separately and together. Their open play area is separated by small gates throughout. I absolutely love this because it creates different places for different ages and abilities. There is a big open play area complete with so many fun things for all ages! Then, there is a smaller area for smaller babies (any age can play here but its perfect for littles that are just learning to toddler around). Did I mention all of their equipment is safe for up to 300 pounds? That’s so great for my husband and I because our kids love for us to be right there with them while they play. They also have a café (with FREE wifi) and benches for parents who would like to relax while their kids play! Each time we go is like a completely new experience because there are so many different toys and activities.

Our favorite things:

Pediatric Steamroller Ramp: The name is pretty self explanatory, but this giant steamroller ramp is perfect for both of my kids that crave what we call “heavy work”! They can scoot on their bellies, backsides, or bottoms! This ramp makes EJ feel so brave and provides her with body awareness and calming, sensory pressure stimulation!

The Black-light Room: This is a separate room closed off by a curtain. There is a bubble tube column, a white ball pit, and super fun outer space paintings. The best part? It all GLOWS! The kid’s clothes will also glow if they’re white or a light color. This room is definitely one of EJ’s favorites, she cracks up when she realizes her socks are glowing.

Giant Pin Art Impression and Giant Lite Brite Wall: These toys are my personal favorite because they make me think back to my childhood! There are giant versions of the popular kid toys! The giant pin impression is so fun because instead of just your hand, you can imprint your entire body!

3-in-1 Barrel swing: This swing is a blast! R and EJ love to take turns spinning in circles in this barrel swing! Fast or slow, their faces always light up when they spin in this!!

Platform Swing: This swing is my personal favorite to do with A. I can lay down in the swing with her or the kids can sit on it and swing high.

Ball Pits: Little land has 3 ball pits! One giant one in the open play area, one smaller one in the littles area, and one in the black light room! The ball pits are our family’s favorite thing in little land to do all together! We all have such a blast jumping straight into the ball pits. The kids love to be buried underneath the balls! The bright colored balls are so fun for A.

Ball Wall: This wall is so much fun! There are different tunnels to put the balls in and air sucks them up and through! Each tunnel is different and the kids love to watch as the balls fly through loops and down through the tubes.

Playground: Inside little land is an entire playground! There’s a climbing wall, bridge, slide, and even monkey bars. Such a great and safe playground surrounded by squishy bean bag pads all around. This is perfect for R because he likes to randomly jump off of high places and he’ll land right on the bean bags!

Toy Area: In this separate area, there is a check-out stand complete with food, a wall of interlocking gears, and so many toy options ranging from princess castles to race car tracks and so much more! This is a calm space for all ages and is separated by an open fence from the large open play area. The check out stand is one of EJ and R’s favorite things to do together! They always pretend to sell ice cream and other groceries to each other.

Little Land is such a fun indoor play gym and is perfect for any weather. We’ve gone while it’s storming, while it’s burning up outside, and just on a typical day and we always are so happy that we do! Little Land has become one of our favorite things to do together as a family. Their calm, inviting atmosphere always makes us feel welcome and the employees are always so helpful and kind. I recommend it for all families with children any age!
